                          My good friends, Fred Willson and Jim Spalink, make up the duo known

                          as Archive, performing a variety of Celtic, medieval, and classical pieces

                          on an eclectic array of instruments, from guitar to mandolin to harp to

                          hurdy-gurdy.  Tonight they'll be expanding the sound palette even further

                          as they invite Michele Venegas to join them on fiddle and myself on

                          hand percussion.  This may well be the only time you'll get to hear this

                          high-energy combination of musicians, so don't miss it!

                          The sister of local jazz great Randy Marsh suffered a debilitating stroke

                          and heart attack in September.  The Marsh family is holding this benefit

                          to raise money for her continued care.  Randy's own band, Organissimo,

                          will be performing, as will a number of other fine bands.  What better time

                          than Thanksgiving weekend to give back to a family that has contributed

                          so much to the Grand Rapids music scene!  Great music, great comraderie,

                          and a great opportunity to make a real difference.
